Nehal has over 14 years of experience specialising in IT Recruitment and has worked in India and New Zealand. After completing her Masters in Commerce (Human Resources) and qualifying as an IBM Certified E-commerce Professional, Nehal started working as a Web Developer but soon realised she can’t see herself in front of a computer all day as she missed meeting new people and interaction. Hence, she made a decision to become an IT Recruiter to combine her love for IT and people interaction and hasn’t looked back. She has worked on both agency side and in-house recruitment and has sat on advisory board at MIT.
Currently a Talent Acquisition Manager at a global software company called Fraedom, which has been going through speedy growth in the last 3 years. Nehal started with Fraedom as their first in house recruitment person ever, and has helped them to establish a seamless process focussed on excellent candidate experience, creative recruitment campaigns to encourage employee referrals and efficient interview processes. Fraedom won Employer of the Year (Central) last year, focussed on recruitment process and candidate experience, employee engagement and experience.
Being a one woman band in her team, Nehal knew early on she needed an efficient recruitment process that will work to achieve the company’s resourcing goals each year. Having successfully recruited over 200 positions in her tenure at Fraedom, without any supplier assistance, she thrives on how the staff and management have been super in helping her get there. Nehal feels recruitment is one industry that keeps you on your toes and no matter how long you have been a part of it, you can get better but never ace it.
