Howard Chaffey is Talent Acquisition Manager for Auckland Council, working towards Auckland being a world-class city where talent wants to live. He’s taking a fresh approach to recruitment within a highly complex, values-driven organization.  In his role he leads, develops and manages a team of Talent Acquisition Consultants recruiting across the areas of specialist, management and senior appointments. Howard’s role is to improve the overall operational effectiveness and experience, to provide a clear strategic direction and foster continuous improvement across the recruitment team.
In Auckland, we work with a culturally diverse population and the recruitment team needs to demonstrate cross-cultural sensitivity and have the knowledge of and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
