Fiona has held a variety of senior roles in the Recruitment Industry over the past 18 years and currently runs ERG Recruitment Group Ltd, a boutique agency that she purchased with her husband John in 2008 in South Auckland, New Zealand. The core of the business supports ‘blue collar’ workers and as such has a unique insight into the challenges of the local community and their families. Fiona is passionate about encouraging the potential in all people and cannot imagine working in any other industry that provides such cultural diversity and change on a daily basis.

Constantly curious, Fiona seeks out opportunities where she can “Pay it forward”.

She joined Dress for Success Auckland in 2012 as an active volunteer and became a Board member in 2015. Dress for Success is a global not-for-profit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. There are currently 140 affiliates/branches in 15 countries, of which 4 are in Australia and 7 are in New Zealand.

Late August 2014 a chance meeting with Annah Stretton (successful business woman, entrepreneur and philanthropist) saw her join RAW – (Reclaim another Women). Annah created this foundation to provide very real choice through education and lifelong tiered support to women from disadvantaged demographics. The women supported typically come from a life of intergenerational violence, benefit dependence and educational under- achievement. Fiona currently spends one day a week at ARWCF (Auckland Region Women’s Corrections Facility) in South Auckland supporting Rebecca Skilton the Operations Manager for RAW with the Incubator program.

Fiona is also actively involved with the RCSA Youth Job Charter and is a strong advocate for the Recruitment industry to have a far greater participation across NZ…Youth are our Future!
